Metal Water Trough 400 Gallon

The trough is designed to be used on Crown land range sites for spring-summer-fall grazing (the trough is not designed for winter use). The trough will water at least 6 cows at one time and require no additional post & rail structure for stabilization.Simple to install, winterize and maintain
The trough has the following characteristics. It is made of welded 3/16 inch mild steel plate and has flat ends and sloped sides. It is approximately 8 feet long, 2 feet high and 4 feet wide at the top tapering to 3 feet wide at the base.
Has a capacity of approximately 350 US gallons (with a 2 inch freeboard), weighs approximately 500 pounds.

• the inlet and outlet piping enters from underneath the trough so none is exposed to potential damage from livestock or vandals
• overflow drain welded on to outflow end plate
• iron braces to be welded both width and length wise at top of trough (attached pictures below shows only one brace width wise).
• because wildlife use of developed water sites on crown land is an important factor on these projects, a “critter escape” will be included on two of the four inside corners (see attached sample photo). This will provide small mammals a means to escape the water if they have fallen into the trough.
